This workshop is suitable for High School students aged 11 to 16. It is not suitable for primary school students.
Students will spend 3 days socializing with like minded teens, enjoying theatre games and vocal and physical warm ups and rehearsing routines involving acting, singing and simple choreography to be performed on Day 3 at 5pm for family and friends.
Workshops will begin at 9am each day (drop off available from 8.30am) and end at 5pm on Days 1 and 2. The performance on Day 3 will begin at 5pm and run for approxiumately 60 minutes.
Places in this workshop are limited and all participants are expected to follow our COVID Safety Plan guidelines. We have a strong focus on team work and confidence building as well as keeping students engaged and igniting their curiosity about the performing arts. Routines are created to popular songs from modern musicals and students have the opportunity to perform solo or small group numbers to songs of their choice.
All workshops are developed and overseen by one of Perth's most successful Musical Theatre professionals Ian Toyne who has extensive experience in professional Musical productions as well as Theatre, film and TV acting and has over 10 years of teaching experience. Ian has successfully designed and facilitated youth workshops Internationally. All staff are experienced performers and hold current Working With Children Checks and Infection Control Certificates.
The cost of the workshop is $270 including GST.
