PAPA COVID-19 Guidelines

Classes and school holiday workshops will continue to go ahead in person following government health advice. The health and safety of our students, staff and family members is our top priority. We appreciate your help in following these guidelines.

  • All PAPA staff are fully vaccinated.

  • During mask mandates all staff and students 12 years and older will wear masks during their classes except when doing vigorous exercise. Teachers may remove masks temporarily when required for teaching. Parents/guardians must wear a mask at pick up/drop off and maintain physical distancing where possible.

  • Parents/guardians are not permitted to stay and watch during classes to limit the number of people in the building and to avoid distraction of students.

  • Adult Students and Parents/Guardians attending classes or performances must show proof of vaccination upon entry.

  • DO NOT ATTEND classes if you are unwell. Students showing symptoms that could be linked to COVID-19 will be sent home immediately.

  • Anyone entering any PAPA location must sanitise hands upon entry. Anyone aged 16+ must sign in using the Service WA or SafeWA app.

  • We follow current Government guidelines on capacity limits eg the 2sqm rule and will notify you as soon as possible in the unlikely event of any venue changes.

IN CASE OF LOCKDOWN

  • All classes will immediately continue online at their usual time slots.

  • Online class plans have been specially designed to ensure an enjoyable, interactive and social experience for all students.

  • If a lockdown situation lasts for more than 7 days class times may vary from the usual timetable.

IN CASE OF A CONFIRMED CASE

  • If a student or staff member who only attends a particular location is confirmed as a positive case of COVID-19 all students/parents from the affected location will be notified via text message.

  • Classes at that location will immediately switch to online at their usual time slots.

  • Deep cleaning will be undertaken by the venue and classes will recommence in person 7 days after the latest positive COVID-19 test result is recorded.

  • No student or staff member having attended an affected location will be allowed to attend any other location until after the 7 day period.

  • We will keep students and parents updated via email and text message.

2022 CONCERTS

  • Performances planned for 2022 will only go ahead when safe to do so.

  • In most cases concerts will go ahead as we hire larger venues than necessary in case capacity limits are introduced and so that physical distancing is possible.

  • Any cancellations will be announced as soon as possible and any concert fees paid will be refunded.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

  • In the unlikely event that we need to cancel workshops due to COVID-19 we will notify you via text message and email and a full refund will be provided. We will then offer online options to keep the kids entertained if possible.

  • If your child is unable to attend because they are self-isolating please notify us in writing as soon as possible and we will provide a full credit towards a future workshop or refund if requested. Parents must notify us BEFORE the commencement of the workshop if they are unable to attend due to isolation.

  • If a positive case is identified to have attended one of our workshops you will be notified as soon as possible via text message. Any further days of the workshop will be cancelled and partial refunds will be provided automatically.

  • If a performance is unable to go ahead due to capacity limits we will notify you ahead of time and the performance will be filmed and sent to you as soon as possible after the workshops.
