Our School Holiday Workshops occur in Perth every Holidays.

Workshops are revolving and different workshops will be offered each School Holiday period.

July School Holidays

Week 1:  July 6 to July 10

2-day Musical Theatre Workshop - $250
Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 July, 9am - 5pm
Ages 12 - 17yrs

Overview Designed specifically for teenagers, this dynamic workshop combines singing, dancing, and acting in a fun, supportive, and creative environment. Participants will build performance skills while working alongside like-minded young performers and preparing for a showcase performance. What Students Will Learn •Musical theatre performance techniques •Ensemble singing •Choreography and movement •Acting through song •Confidence and stage presence •Teamwork and collaboration Workshop Details •Ages: 12–17 years •Duration: 2 days •Day 1: 9:00am–5:00pm •Drop-off available from 8:45am Performance Outcome Students will learn and perform a fully choreographed musical theatre number featuring the entire ensemble. Participants will also have opportunities for featured moments, solos, and small-group performances. Performance: Day 2 at 5:00pm (approximately 45 minutes).

PAPA Junior Workshop - $45
Wednesday 8 July, 9.30 - 11.30am
Ages 4 - 7yrs

Overview Perfect for our youngest performers, PAPA Junior is packed with fun, imaginative games and creative activities designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and spark a love of the performing arts. Students will make new friends, develop their creativity, and work together towards a short performance for family and friends at pick-up time. What Students Will Learn •Creative play and storytelling •Teamwork and communication skills •Confidence in performing and expressing ideas •Basic performance and stage skills •Social skills through collaborative games and activities Workshop Details •Ages: 4.5–7 years (Pre-Primary to Year 2) •Time: 9:30am–11:45am •Drop off time 9.15am Performance: 11:30am (approximately 15 minutes)

Broadway Jazz Workshop - $80
Wednesday 8 July, 1pm - 5pm
Ages 10 - 17yrs

Overview This is a wonderful workshop for those students who want to kick the dance side of being a music theatre triple threat up to another level. Perfect for students who have some dance/movement skills and are ready to push themselves to achieve more in a supportive and creative environment. Students will be involved in some fun ice-breaker activities, participate in a high energy dance warm up, and undertake learning a fully choreographed routine which they will present to an invited audience at the end of the workshop. What Students Will Learn • Dance pick-up skills • Safe, strong, correctly aligned technique • A fully choreographed routine • Emotional connection to choreographed movements • Clear character storytelling • Teamwork and communication skills • Confidence in performing and expressing ideas Workshop Details • Ages: 12–17 years • Time: 1.00pm–5.00pm - drop off time 12.45pm • Performance: 4.50pm (approximately 10 minutes)

2-day Film Workshop - $240
Thursday 9 and Friday 10 July, 9am - 3pm
Ages 7-12yrs

Overview Discover the exciting world of screen acting in this hands-on introduction to film performance. Students will learn how acting for the camera differs from acting on stage while developing confidence, creativity, and teamwork through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Working in small groups, participants will rehearse and film scripted scenes using a green screen, creating their own short screen performances. What Students Will Learn •Fundamentals of screen acting •Working within a camera frame •Creating natural and believable performances •Teamwork and collaborative storytelling •Basic film production processes Workshop Details •Ages: 7–12 years •Duration: 2 days •Time: 9:00am–3:00pm each day •Drop-off available from 8:45am

Week 2:  July 13 to July 17

2-day Stage Acting Workshop - $220
Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 July,  9am - 3pm
Ages 7-12yrs

Overview An engaging introduction to stage acting and improvisation for students who enjoy storytelling, creativity, and performance. Participants will explore acting fundamentals through games, scene work, and collaborative activities while building confidence and making new friends. What Students Will Learn •Acting fundamentals •Improvisation techniques •Character creation •Stage presence and performance skills •Teamwork and communication Workshop Details •Ages: 7–12 years (Years 3–6) •Duration: 2 days •Day 1: 9:00am–3:00pm •Drop-off available from 8:45am Performance Outcome Students will work in small groups to create and rehearse a short performance to be presented to a supportive audience. Performance: Day 2 at 3:00pm (approximately 30 minutes).

3-day Musical Theatre Workshop - $360
Wednesday 15 to Friday 17 July,  9am - 5pm
Ages 7-12yrs

Overview A high-energy workshop for young performers who love singing, dancing, and acting. Through engaging games, creative activities, and performance training, participants will develop their musical theatre skills while working together in a fun, supportive environment. What Students Will Learn •Musical theatre performance skills •Choreography and movement •Ensemble singing techniques •Acting through song •Confidence and stage presence •Teamwork and collaboration Workshop Details •Ages: 7–12 years •Duration: 3 days •Time: 9:00am–5:00pm on Days 1 and 2 •Drop-off available from 8:45am Performance Outcome Participants will learn: •A fully choreographed ensemble musical theatre number featuring every performer •A second ensemble piece with a stronger focus on acting and vocal performance •Opportunities for solo and small-group performances A showcase performance for family and friends will take place on Day 3 at 5:00pm (approximately 60 minutes).

Our programs are developed by Ian Toyne, one of Perth’s most experienced theatre professionals. Ian has worked extensively across professional theatre, film, and television and has more than 10 years’ experience teaching young performers. He has successfully designed and delivered youth theatre workshops both nationally and internationally.

All staff are experienced performers, hold current Working With Children Checks, and are fully vaccinated.

  • The studio is located on Level 1, 252 Cambridge Street Wembley and does not have disabled access.

  • Workshop details will be emailed following registration. Please check your junk mail folder if you do not receive your confirmation email.

  • Places are limited and early booking is recommended.
