About the event
As well as playing fun and engaging theatre games and making new friends, students will be guided through basic singing and dancing warm ups and learn a group routine to a song from a popular Musical or Disney Film. Students will also have the opportunity to perform a solo or small group act for a supportive audience.Â
The workshops will begin at 9am (drop off available from 8.30am) and end at 5pm on Day 1. On Day 2 there will be a short performance (approx 45 mins) starting at 5pm.
Please note there is no disabled access to the studio which is upstairs on Level 1.
This workshop is suitable for students aged 7.5 to 11 who are in years 3 to 6 in Primary School.
Places in this workshop are limited and all participants are expected to follow our COVID Safety Plan guidelines. We have a strong focus on team work and confidence building as well as keeping students engaged and igniting their curiosity about the performing arts.
All workshops are devised by one of Perth's most successful Theatre professionals Ian Toyne who has extensive experience in professional Theatre, film and TV acting and has over 10 years of teaching experience. Ian has successfully designed and facilitated youth workshops Internationally. All staff are experienced performers and hold current Working With Children Checks and are fully vaccinated.
